A fire detection system is designed to detect fires at the early stages of combustion and initiate the buildings occupant warning, smoke management and egress management systems along with notifying the QFES.  The fire detection system is designed and installed based on the “Deem to Satisfy” (DTS) requirements under the BCA and in some in instances “Performance Based” design are formulated by a Fire Engineer.
